Built to last,
bought to last.01

// Criteria An established Boise business.
// Revenue $1M and up
// Hold Indefinite.

Swabian is acquiring an established, craftsmanship-led business with a well-built brand and operating it for the long haul. One principal. One decision. No committee, no roll-up, no flip. The companies worth buying took years to build. The transition deserves the same patience.

§ 01, Criteria

What we'll buy.
And what we won't.

Filter Ai.
$4 , $12M
Annual revenue. Profitable, with a multi-year track record. Not a turnaround. Not a startup looking for a buyer in disguise.
Filter Bii.
Craftsmanship & a well-built brand
A product or service with care in it, a deliverable a customer can hold or point at, an identity someone has spent years earning. B2B services and software-adjacent operators qualify when the same craft runs through them.
Filter Ciii.
Recurring or repeatable
Established customer base, contractual or behavioral retention, an owner ready to transition. Healthy margins, real cash flow.
Deal type

100% control acquisition. No minority rounds, no roll-ups, no portfolio assembly. A business held for the long term.

Geography

Headquartered in the U.S. or Canada, customers anywhere on the map. Remote and distributed teams welcome.

If you've spent a decade building something that works, you deserve a buyer who treats it that way.

§ 02, Method

Why owners actually take the call.

i

No committee. No bureaucracy.

One principal, one decision-maker. Decisions happen in the same conversation, not after they're walked back to a partnership for a vote. If we're a no, you'll know in days, not weeks. That's a feature.

DECISION LATENCY · <72 HRS
ii

AI-driven sourcing, not cold email.

Custom infrastructure built on Claude and Python identifies, qualifies, and tracks businesses that fit the criteria. Most buyers react to broker lists. Swabian arrives already informed about your industry, your peers, and your numbers.

iii

An operator's background.

Kellogg MBA. EY data science consulting on Fortune 20 engagements across three continents. Analytics leadership at a PropTech company. The plan to run the business after closing is real, not slideware.

KELLOGG · EY · SERVICELINK
iv

Respect, on the timetable you set.

Owners aren't problems to optimize against. The companies worth buying took years to build, and the transition gets the same care. Confidentiality is the default. Nothing leaves the room without your consent.

NDA-FIRST · OWNER-PACED
§ 02b, Sourcing infrastructure

A sourcing engine, not a Rolodex.

Most buyers are a partner, two associates, and an inbox. Swabian is one operator running a system he engineered himself: a Python pipeline orchestrating Claude for qualification, enrichment, and outreach drafting against a continuously refreshed universe of fitting companies.

Practically, that means when Jeff calls, he already knows the shape of your business. He's read what's public, mapped your competitive set, and run the numbers he can run. The first conversation skips the introductions and starts where it should, at fit.

For owners and advisors, the upshot is simpler: a buyer who is already prepared, who can move on real timing instead of a calendar quarter, and who isn't waiting on someone else to read the file.

§ 03, Principal

A real person on the other end.

I'm Jeff. I started Swabian in 2023 to do one thing well: find a single, healthy business and run it for the long haul. No fund-of-funds layering, no flipping in five years, no committee. Just me, and whatever team chooses to come along after we've talked.

Before this, I spent most of my career in the weeds of operating businesses: running analytics teams, leading projects across Europe, Asia, and Latin America, and helping a Fortune 20 client untangle hard problems. I'm a builder by temperament. I'd rather understand how the work actually gets done than sit above it.

If you're an owner thinking about what comes next, I'd just like to hear about what you've built. No pitch deck, no broker, no "process." Just a conversation, on your timing, that goes wherever you want it to go.

§ 04, Process

First call to clean close.

Step 01

A confidential conversation.

30 minutes. NDA in advance if you'd like one. We discuss the business at a high level. No diligence requests, no document demands. You leave knowing whether there's a real fit. If not, we say so directly.

Week 01Owner-led
Step 02

Fast evaluation. Specific offer.

If we're aligned, Swabian moves to a focused evaluation and delivers a written, specific offer. Not a range, not "indicative." You get a real number to react to, with the assumptions behind it shown openly.

Weeks 02, 04Principal-led
Step 03

Clean close. Real transition.

Tight diligence run by Jeff personally. After close, who runs the company day to day is decided with the seller.
